Griffin Gear's engineering, design, and gear technicians can assist you with your gear requirements. Our staff routinely assists customers with reverse engineering of their existing parts. We have several portable coordinate measuring machines and also portable hardness testers that allow our design staff to extract critical information from samples, housings, and machinery. This, in conjunction with our extensive gear software library, allows our engineering teams to reconstruct your gearing and manufacture O.E.M. quality replacement gear, shafts, housings, and other related components. In many instances we have been able to take all required information without removing the needed replacement part from the customers equipment. Our Engineering staff can also assist you with gearbox modifications. From simple ratio changes to gearbox upgrades, we are ready to work with your custom requirements.

Many customers have also asked us to reverse engineer complete gearbox applications that have become obsolete items for the O.E.M. We have provided them with a complete drop in replacement unit, saving them the time and cost to modify or replace an existing foundation footprint.
